Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

We are always looking for ways to cover things in chocolate at our Honey House. These strawberries are a true treat and simple to make!

  • 1/2 c chocolate chips bittersweet
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil refined
  • 12 large strawberries stems attached


  • Wash and dry the strawberries, and get them to room temperature.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. 
  • Put chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small glass bowl. 
  • Melt in the top of a double boiler over hot, but not boiling, water, stirring occasionally. 
  • Dip half of each strawberry into the melted chocolate. Let the excess drip back into the double boiler. 
  • Place the dipped fruit on lined baking sheet.
  •  Refrigerate until the chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
