Why Exfoliate?

Exfoliating dead skin cells speeds up the renewal process and allows for healthy new cell growth. The process of exfoliation brings your complexion from dull to bright, vibrant, and smooth. Regular exfoliation reduces fine lines and wrinkles and keeps your skin soft and supple.

Our original honey scrub is crystalized honey. Kara found that when she used it on her face and body, her skin felt soft and moisturized. With the help of chemists and expert formulators, we also created a line of scrubs developed to gently exfoliate the skin.

Exfoliation is the removal of dry dead skin cells on the skin’s outer surface. So why exfoliate?

Removing dead skin cells prepares the skin to receive moisture. The oils from nature in our scrubs are easily absorbed, leaving your skin nourished, soft and beautiful.

The two common ingredients in all our scrubs, that do the bulk of the scrubbing action, are organic sugar and organic honey crystals. Both provide the right amount of exfoliation for the skin. Not too hard, not too light. Other ingredients that support exfoliation include: seeds, leaves, clay, ground nuts, powdered pumice and coffee grounds.

Powerful Powders

You’d be surprised to know that finely ground powder can also provide a gentle scrub to the skin that will both buff and polish, plus offer other health benefits. Many powders contain anti-oxidants that help slow down the signs of aging.

Our Rose Clay Mask, Clarity, is a dry mask for face and body that can be mixed with water, honey, fruit juice, milk or yogurt based on your skin type and various skin conditions. The mask provides detoxication while it gently exfoliates, leaving your skin feeling incredibly clean and smooth.

Cocoa powder keeps your spirits up and assists in slowing down the signs of aging. It firms and aids in the renewal of skin cells, and promotes healthy skin tissue and cell development. Cocoa powder is a powerful antioxidant that helps to repair dry damaged skin, improves blood flow and complexion while it supports hydration.

Find cocoa powder in Haute Cocoa Honey Body Scrub and our Haute Cocoa Rejuvenating Mask, a decadent dry mask for face and body that will quickly become part of your weekly beauty ritual.

Green tea powder is anti-bacterial and aids with the prevention of acne. It also contains the anti-oxidant oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) that is helpful in healing damaged skin cells. Green tea leaves are abrasive and help rid the skin of toxins.

Our Sea and Tea Mask, contains sea kelp, green tea, oats and other ingredients that support both facial and body exfoliation in a gentle but beneficial fashion.

Natural Exfoliants

Coffee offers an amazing wake-up call to the skin. Like cocoa, coffee contains caffeine that is thought to help battle cellulite by tackling the water in the fat layers of the skin. Out of all of our scrubs, coffee offers the strongest exfoliant action. Give your skin a buzz with Grounded Honey Body Scrub.

Blueberry and cranberry seeds add both visual interest and that extra scrub “oomph” to some of our scrubs. You can find blueberry seeds in our summer scrub A Place in the Sun and find cranberry seeds in our Sweet Scrub.

Think of exfoliation as a process that happens to your skin over a period of time.

Watch for seeds and other added goodies in our product descriptions as you get to know our product line.

Exfoliate with care and track the beautiful results.

Your skin will say thank you.
