10 Summer Lavender Recipes

10 Summer Lavender Recipes

Lavender is a magical herb that has been used for thousands of years for its remarkable healing properties and breathtaking beauty. At Bee Inspired, we are passionate about lavender. It’s the main fragrance in our Peace of Mind line, which includes a range of luxurious body butter, lavender and oat bath soap, and skincare products that offer profound relaxation and comfort to our customers. Our love affair with lavender extends to our Chesterhaven Beach Farm, where we cultivate around 500 lavender plants. These plants yield a bountiful crop of flowers every summer that we carefully harvest, dry, and process so that we can use them in our products throughout the year. All our lavender plants are grown organically, without the use of pesticides or harmful chemicals.

Why do we love lavender so much? There are many reasons, including its unparalleled beauty and fragrance. But there’s much more to lavender than meets the eye or the nose. Scientific research has shown that lavender has remarkable therapeutic benefits for the mind and body. It has been found to have a calming effect on the nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety, soothing headaches and migraines, and promoting better sleep. When used topically, lavender has potent antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that make it an effective treatment for wounds, burns, eczema, and other skin conditions. If you've ever considered growing lavender, it's so easy and it comes back each year. You can harvest lavender in a long afternoon and it's actually meditative.

Over the years, we've gathered and created a bountiful amount of lavender recipes that are designed for both the outside of your body and the inside! Lavender Recipes to Eat

The benefits of lavender extend to the kitchen as well. This versatile herb adds a delicate floral flavor to a variety of recipes, both sweet and savory. Some of our favorite lavender recipes include lavender honey lemon cake, shortbread cookies, lavender lemonade, and lavender-infused honey. To make lavender-infused honey, all you need to do is heat honey on the stove and add some dried lavender buds. Let the mixture steep for a few hours, then strain the flowers out and enjoy the fragrant, delicious honey on toast, fruit, or yogurt.

While many people know of lavender's therapeutic benefits when used externally, many do not know how good it is to use in the kitchen. Desserts and teas take especially well to the strong floral scents that the plant produces. Here are three of our favorite lavender recipes for you to try when you're feeling adventurous with your lavender!

More on Lavender

At Bee Inspired, we recognize the importance of sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices, which is why we grow all our lavender plants organically. This means that our plants are free from harmful chemicals and safe to use in our products. We also value the importance of community and giving back, which is why we donate a portion of our profits to non-profits and organizations that support causes we believe in. By purchasing our products, you are not just supporting our small business, but also contributing to a better world.

Lavender is a beautiful and useful herb to grow at your home. As long as you have a bright and sunny area with good soil drainage-for this crop, rocky or sandy soil is actually ideal, as the plants don't need a lot of fertilizer and water. The plants can also be grown well in terra cotta pots, as they allow the plants to be moved into the sun when needed, and for water to drain away easily.

Lavender is truly a remarkable herb that offers numerous benefits to our health, beauty, and wellbeing. At Bee Inspired, we are proud to cultivate these beautiful plants and use them in our products. Whether you’re looking for a luxurious body butter to soothe your skin, a fragrant candle to uplift your mood, or a gourmet honey to sweeten your tea, we have something for everyone. We invite you to discover the power and beauty of lavender and join us in our mission to create a healthier and happier world, one product at a time.
