Strawberry Smoothie with Honey

We love strawberry season: it means fresh fruit, tasty snacks, and lots of strawberry smoothies! When we have bountiful berries, we like to use them up in this Strawberry Smoothie with honey. There are many nutritional benefits to eating strawberries. Strawberries are packed with vitamin C and fresh ones in the early summer are better than what you buy in the store.

There’s really nothing like fresh strawberries. Juicy and sweet, they taste just like summertime (in my opinion). Always buy organic berries, because it’s nearly impossible to wash off the pesticides used on the plants otherwise. Or, if you can, grow your own in a pot at home!

  • 1 c strawberries raw or frozen
  • 1 banana frozen ripe
  • 1/2 c fat-free greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. powdered peanut butter or fresh ground
  • 1/4 c coconut water
  • 1 tbsp. Waxing Kara Honey

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients together in a blender and puree until smooth. Enjoy!
