Benefits of Cucumber Water
Our cucumbers are thoughtfully planted and harvested on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Our cucumber water is also known as a botanical distillate or hydrosol. You may have come across this buzzword in other beauty products – in fact, it’s popular right now for many different benefits including soothing and cooling the skin from wind and sunburn.
If your skin is acne-prone and you want to try and help prevent breakouts, this hydrosol also has Vitamin B-5 that may help to soothe inflamed skin or even reduce redness. The pantothenic acid may also help with this. Because cucumbers are 96% water, they naturally promote hydration in the skin with properties like Manganese, Potassium, Magnesium, Vitamin C and K, as well as various antioxidants.
Every cucumber that is grown from seed is cared for by hand right until it is distilled into the bottle.
Our small farm yields only a limited supply of cucumber hydrosol. Every organic cucumber is harvested and chopped by hand before it is mixed delicately with spring water. We concentrate on just one gallon at a time, making sure that every ounce of cucumber water is made with love and care.
We are passionate about paying attention to detail, which is also why we take particular care with the distilling process. We believe in quality over quantity, and we want every single batch of cucumber water to be the best there is. We distill lavender and shiso as well if you’d like to experience the differences at home.
Various Uses of Cucumber Distillate
As well as helping your skin glow, cucumber hydrosol may be used around the home. It’s great for clearing the air and establishing a subtle yet refreshing aroma. It may also be used as a hair mist to keep roots and ends shiny.

What is Cucumber Water Good For?
Cucumber hydrosol or distilled cucumber water is a particularly exquisite kind of distillate. It is made from the steam distillation of organic chopped cucumbers. Because cucumbers are 96% water, the result is botanical water, otherwise known as cucumber hydrosol fortified with plant matter. Cucumber hydrosol comes with a pleasant scent, as well as many health benefits. Because it is not as concentrated as an essential oil, it’s easier to absorb through the skin.
