“Life is the flower for which love is the honey.” –Victor Hugo
With today being Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d talk about love. Love is a mysterious thing. You can love a person, a place, a thing, an animal, a God. Love can be an action, a feeling, a smile, a kiss. Valentine’s Day often holds romantic love at the center of its lens, but I feel that love can have many forms. I know I have so much love in my life to be grateful for – so why not celebrate all of it?
Love is like honey. Do you know that feeling when you drink the last sip of tea that always tastes the sweetest? It’s the sip of tea with the most honey in it. The warm, smooth honey slowly travels down your throat, melting you from the inside out.
That is what love is all about. It’s the look of your baby when she reaches for your hand, the taste of a kiss from your partner in crime, the never ending bear hug from your best friend in the world, or that quick, subtle roll over as your dog begs you to rub his belly. It’s the little things in life that are the sweetest. This Valentine’s Day appreciate all the love in your life, have as much honey as you want, and try to have as many of those sweet moments as possible!
P.S. For all the lovers out there this Valentine’s though, honey does increase your libido! Just another reason to add lots and lots of it to your tea and your life!
