Honey Under-Eye Mask

Honey Under-Eye Mask

Honey under-eye masks are on the rise. Under-eye circles and bags are something we all struggle with, especially as we get older. Whether they're caused by a lack of sleep or a relaxing evening drink, it's difficult to find concealer for the job while still looking natural. Try this honey under-eye mask and see what a difference it can make.

Our Four Ingredient Honey Under Eye Mask

This incredible eye mask is crafted from just four simple ingredients, and guess what? You likely already have three of them right at home! Let me walk you through the magic blend I used to bring this mask to life:

  • Aloe vera gel (1 tsp)
  • Jojoba -or almond oil- (three drops)
  • Bee Inspired Honey (1/2 teaspoon)
  • The essential oil of chamomile, lavender, or rose (1 drop)

Making Honey Under-Eye Mask

Made with only four easy-to-find ingredients, this eye mask can be made in a snap! Pure, raw honey needs to be used for this mask. We like to use Bee Inspired Honey for this treatment since we know it is raw and natural!

You'll likely have everything you need in your kitchen and vanity, except for the recommended essential oils. Find reliable oils at local health food stores, spas, and skincare shops.

If you can't find essential oils, leave them out or replace with a dash of organic turmeric. Turmeric acts as a brightening agent, reducing dark circles when applied topically. Feel free to replace jojoba oil with our favorite Face Oil—just avoid getting it in your eyes.

Easy Instructions

Mix up the ingredients in a small, clean glass or stainless steel dish. We recommend disinfecting the bowl with alcohol before adding your ingredients. Place the mixed mask in the refrigerator for a few minutes to chill. If you make this eye mask in the evening and store it sealed in the fridge overnight, it makes a super easy start to your morning routine!

Use this eye mask before cleansing the face. Use a little toner on a cotton round to remove any oils from the under-eye area, and then gently brush on using a clean makeup brush. An old, flat foundation brush works perfectly for this!

Keep the mask on for 10-15 minutes while you prepare breakfast and get ready for the day. You can wash it off as usual since the aloe vera prevents it from being oily or sticky. Don't forget to tone and moisturize your face, especially around the delicate eye area.

When applying moisturizer under the eye, tap - don't rub. The skin around your eyes is fragile, and being too hard on it can cause premature aging, abrasions, and irritation.

Try using this mask once a week or when your eyes need a pick-me-up. It'll soothe swelling and irritation with cool aloe, while providing moisture and antioxidants with honey and oils. For a fill-face calming experience, give our Calming Dry Mask a go at the same time.
