Rosemary Honey Gin Fizz

I found this rosemary honey gin fizz recipe in a cookbook called “The Forest Feast” and had to share it. I reached out to the publisher and requested permission to publish her recipe and imagery here in our blog. We always enjoy refreshing gin in the heat of summer on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the thought of adding a little honey and fizz appealed to us. Erin Gleeson shared this Rosemary Honey Gin Fizz recipe to beat the end-of-summer heat. This recipe takes minutes to prepare (that’s what I love about Erin’s recipes: simple, clean, and easy fixing) You can enjoy more of her recipes in her cookbook, The Forest Feast.

Rosemary and Honey Gin Fizz By Erin Gleeson

I hate to admit this here and now, but my first encounter with a gin fizz was quite a long time ago and it’s likely the sweet syrupy sugary goo that made that slow gin fizz cocktail that made it such a miserable memory. Thanks to less sugar and the natural sweetness that honey offers, this cocktail hits the spot without being too much.

How to make a Honey Gin Fizz

First, gather up all of the ingredients glassware, and accessories that you will need to make this cocktail.

Step 1

Add 3 Tablespoons of gin to a shaker

Step 2

Make honey syrup either by adding equal parts warm water and raw honey, or warm-up 1 teaspoon of honey in a double boiler.

Step 3

Top it off with a spritz of seltzer and garnish

Ingredients this Honey Gin Fizz

  • 3 Tablespoons of Gin
  • 1 teaspoon of melted Eastern Shore Honey (by setting honey in glass in very warm water like a double boiler, don’t microwave)
  • Juice from half a lemon
  • Ice
  • Seltzer
  • Sprig of Rosemary
