If you don’t have a boat, take a trip to your favorite fish market in lieu of grocery store fish. Your local fish-monger wakes up at oh-dark-hundred and heads to the market. Chances are good that he or she has lots of experience picking out the very best fish for you to enjoy. How to make this Fish Dish

  • Combine water, tamari, lime juice, and honey in a glass baking dish or bowl.
  • Add fish and marinate for 30 minutes to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet sear marinated fish in a very hot saucepan for about a minute each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer to oven and bake for 5-10 minutes (based on the thickness of the filet).
  • Cook until the fish is cooked through.
  • For the sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat, add garlic, add honey and mix well.
  • Serve each fish fillet with 2 teaspoons of the sauce and top with toasted slivered almonds.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c water

  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. olive oil
